The state promulgated the "Energy Law of the People's Republic of China"
On November 8, the 12th session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress voted to adopt the "Energy Law of the People's Republic of China". This law has nine chapters, and its main contents include general provisions, energy planning, energy development and utilization, energy market system, energy reserves and emergency response, energy science and technology innovation, supervision and management, legal liabilities, and supplementary provisions. It shall come into force on January 1, 2025.
