At the beginning of the new year, "Walking Along the Xiangjiang River · Low-Carbon Alliance" embarked on a new journey. On January 16, 2022, the alliance gathered more than 30 junior and senior high school students from Changsha No.1 Middle School, High School Attached to Hunan Normal University, Yali Middle School, Changjun Middle School and other schools to visit the energy station project of Hunan Provincial Museum.

The distributed energy station is a service purchased by the museum from the society, with Zhongjin Nengyuan Company responsible for its investment, construction and operation, in response to the national industrial policy of energy conservation and environmental protection.

The energy station uses natural gas as fuel to drive gas generators to produce electricity. The waste heat discharged after power generation is then used for heating and cooling through waste heat recovery equipment, realizing cascade utilization of energy. This achieves a higher comprehensive energy utilization rate, responds to the national energy conservation and environmental protection policies with practical actions, and has good social and environmental benefits. It creates favorable conditions for building a resource-saving, environment-friendly museum that meets green building standards.

After visiting the energy station, members of the Low-Carbon Alliance gathered at the café on the third floor of Hunan Provincial Museum to celebrate the alliance's first anniversary. The event, hosted by Huizi, consisted of three sessions. First, Xiong Jiujiu from High School Attached to Hunan Normal University introduced the activities carried out by the Low-Carbon Alliance in the past year since its establishment, leading everyone to review the beautiful moments of 2021. Then, all core members of the alliance took the stage to introduce themselves and send New Year greetings. Finally, Wang Kezheng from Changsha No.1 Middle School hosted 20 environmental protection knowledge quizzes, and the students who answered correctly were awarded airplane models, desk calendars and Xingbao dolls sponsored by Caixin Financial Holdings Group, as well as notebooks and signature pens sponsored by Zhongji Group.
The complete success of this event demonstrates the sense of responsibility and mission of Chinese teenagers towards environmental protection. It is hoped that in the new year, "Walking Along the Xiangjiang River · Low-Carbon Alliance" can make greater contributions to the cause of environmental protection, and may the sky be bluer, the water clearer and the earth more beautiful!
