On January 17, 2023, the Yuanling County Landfill Biogas Comprehensive Treatment and Utilization Project was successfully connected to the grid for power generation. The project is located in Qinmuxi Group, Yuanyangshan Neighborhood Committee Community, Yuanling Town, with an installed capacity of about 2MW and a total investment of about 14 million yuan. It is expected to generate about 14 million kWh of electricity annually and reduce carbon emissions by about 100,000 tons.
On March 24, 2022, China Skills Energy Group Co., Ltd. signed the "Contract for Yuanling County Landfill Biogas Comprehensive Treatment and Utilization Project" with Yuanling County Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau. The grid-connection and power generation of the project marks that the electricity converted from domestic waste after landfilling has begun to provide power resources for the residents of Yuanling County, which effectively promotes the economic and social development of Yuanling County, advances the process of "reduction, recycling and harmlessness" in urban and rural waste treatment, improves resource utilization efficiency, and further improves the ecological environment.
