As temperatures rise in summer, fire risks increase significantly. To strengthen all employees’ awareness of fire prevention and emergency self-rescue capabilities, and effectively forestall fire hazards in the workplace, ChinaTec Energy Group Co., Ltd. invited Instructor Li Qizhen from Hongxing Fire Station to deliver a practical and informative special fire safety training session on the morning of June 6. The activity helped build a solid dual safety line for both the company and employees’ families.

During the training, combining daily office and household scenarios, Instructor Li elaborated on common fire risks in workplaces, such as aging electrical circuits, improper use of power strips and random stacking of sundries. He also explained methods to put out initial-stage fires, key operating points of common fire extinguishers, as well as fire evacuation guidelines and escape skills. For on-site evacuation, he highlighted practical tips including bending down low and covering the mouth and nose with a wet cloth. The training encouraged all staff to embed safety awareness into daily work and life, so that everyone prioritizes fire safety and fire prevention is practiced everywhere.
With pictures and videos, Instructor Li shared typical fire incidents in recent years, presenting the causes and severe consequences of fire accidents vividly. These real-life cases were shocking: some fires broke out due to overloaded power strips causing short circuits, while others blocked escape routes because of piled items in corridors. The employees present were deeply affected and realized that fire hazards are actually around them rather than far away. Instructor Li stressed that workplaces are densely populated with numerous electrical devices, so hidden danger inspections must be conducted on a regular basis without leaving any blind spots.
"I never paid attention to the fire extinguishers before, but the hands-on practice today gave me confidence to respond in an emergency," said one employee after the practical drill.
Safety is the most reliable protection for every employee. Taking this training as a starting point, the company will continue to carry out regular fire safety education and hazard inspections. We will put knowledge into practice and integrate fire prevention with fire control, striving to create a safe and stable working environment for all staff and make safety an underlying cornerstone for the company’s steady development.
