On July 25, the China Electricity Council released the *Report on Analysis and Forecast of National Power Supply and Demand Situation in the First Half of 2023*, which pointed out:

In the first half of 2023, the utilization hours of various power sources were as follows:

- Hydropower: 1,239 hours, a year-on-year decrease of 452 hours;

- Thermal power: 2,142 hours, a year-on-year increase of 84 hours;

- Nuclear power: 3,770 hours, a year-on-year increase of 97 hours;

- Grid-connected wind power: 1,237 hours, a year-on-year increase of 83 hours;

- Grid-connected solar power generation: 658 hours, a year-on-year decrease of 32 hours.

The decrease in photovoltaic power generation hours is mainly due to changes in national solar energy resources in the first half of 2023.

According to the 2022 China Wind and Solar Energy Resources Annual Bulletin* released by the China Meteorological Administration, solar energy resources change every year. Among them, 2022 was a year with abundant solar energy resources, and the national average annual total horizontal radiation was about 3% higher than the average of the past 30 years. Therefore, photovoltaic power generation in 2022 should generally be favorable!

The above figure shows the national average. The specific values of annual total horizontal radiation and annual total inclined surface radiation in each province are as shown in the following table.

The distribution of first-year power generation hours of fixed photovoltaic projects in various regions is shown in the figure below!
