Recently, the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Comprehensive Department of the National Energy Administration issued the *Notice on the Responsibility Weight for Renewable Energy Power Consumption in 2023 and Related Matters*.
The notice points out that the responsibility weight for renewable energy power consumption in 2023 is a binding indicator, and each province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) shall conduct assessment and evaluation based on this; the weight for 2024 is an anticipatory indicator, and each province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) shall carry out project reserves based on this.
All provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) shall reasonably arrange the guaranteed grid-connection scale of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in their respective regions in accordance with the non-hydropower consumption responsibility weight. Strictly implement the requirements on the proportion of renewable energy power in the west-to-east power transmission and cross-provincial/trans-regional power transmission channels. In 2023, the proportion shall not be lower than the actual implementation in 2022 in principle.
